Securing £100,000 for a Recycling Entrepreneur
At Landsker, we take pride in empowering local entrepreneurs to turn their innovative ideas into reality. One such success story involves Pembrokeshire-based engineer Dan Thomas, who sought to revolutionise waste management through his unique waste baling business.
We helped secure £100,000 in funding for Dan through the Pembrokeshire Lottery and the Development Bank of Wales. This funding was crucial for bringing Waste Baling Machines to life, enabling Dan to expand his operations and partner with notable clients such as Bluestone, Tan y Castell, and Live Nation.
Waste baling and compacting is a game-changing process that compresses recyclable materials into compact and manageable bales, reducing waste volume by up to 80%. This not only streamlines storage and transportation but also plays a vital role in enhancing recycling rates, benefiting both businesses and the environment.
Reflecting on our collaboration, we find it incredibly fulfilling to support passionate entrepreneurs like Dan. As he aptly stated, “Working with Landsker, and particularly with Matthew Davies, has been invaluable. I’ve been able to expedite the growth of Waste Baling Machines, ensuring a sustainable future while helping our customers reduce their waste volume by up to 80%. This not only decreases their storage requirements and removal costs but also enhances their recycling potential.”
At Landsker, we’ve had the privilege of assisting over 2,500 Welsh businesses across various sectors, securing more than £150 million in funding. Our work has contributed to the creation of over 6,000 jobs and has supported 750 start-ups in building their brands.
