Landsker tackles Board effectiveness at SE Wales 2014

Delegates of Social Enterprise Wales 2014 were given an insight into improving the effectiveness of the Board on 1st October at Glasir, Llanrwst, guided by HR specialist Nia Marshall from Landsker Business Solutions.

The workshop focused on what constitutes an effective Board, its roles, structure and responsibilities.  Participants were given a self-assessment tool to use in evaluating their own Board’s effectiveness.

The one day conference which follows the Social Enterprise Awards Wales is one of the most significant events for social entrepreneurs in Wales, attracting over 200 organisations, who benefit from networking activities, keynote speakers and skills based workshops.

Landsker was also proud to sponsor and present the ‘One to Watch’ awards category.  Managing Director Jeremy Bowen-Rees congratulated the winner, Leslie Barr of Monwel Ltd. who demonstrated outstanding performance amongst a worthy shortlist of nominees.
