I have been a Director of Landsker Business Solutions Ltd. since August 2012 but had worked with Landsker as an Associate Consultant for seven years previously.
My internal management responsibility at Landsker lies within the finance and accounting arenas and this also translates into much of my client work, where I tend to lead on clients requiring funding solutions whether this be through grants, loans or other financing solutions. I have a broad range of skills and experience which is reflected in my accreditation on a number of funded programmes.
Being educated in business to degree level, having run my own successful business and working as a consultant for the past seven years, I have a good blend of theoretical knowledge, real business experience and have proved that I can translate this into focused, effective and customer facing consultancy support over a number of industries and disciplines. This has resulted in supporting the local SME Welsh economy through the creation and safeguarding of jobs, improving social infrastructure and access to services, increasing revenue and/or profitability, gaining public, private and charity funding and making strategic and operational improvements.
I have previously run my own businesses and as a director of Landsker, I have a real empathy for the real life decisions that business owners have to make. I think it essential that I work with clients, rather than for them. The distinction is an important one as by collaborating with clients and involving them in the process allows me to best understand the business (after all the client is the expert in their chosen field) and this allows the client to understand and take ownership of the work I complete.
